Well known retail sports brand based in Manchester are looking for a Head of Marketing to join their growing team. Looking for a strong leader who can inspire and develop the team managing relationships with key partner contacts and ensuring that strategies are aligned with overarching business objectives.

Job Description

Key Capabilities and Experience

  • Lead and manage the marketing team, spanning all marketing disciplines to build and execute growth strategies
  • Build the brand and marketing strategy to enable sustainable and profitable business growth. Shape the direction of the business and help drive success within other functions.
  • Build a strategy and lead a team to acquire new customers via paid and organic search. Experience of channel mix and funnel optimisation to deliver market leading CPA. Advocate of optimisation through structured test and learn.
  • Develop and execute a CRM strategy to engage, acquire and retain customers through intelligent, timely and personalised online and offline communication.
  • Management and evolution of a social media strategy that drives brand engagement and lead conversion across multiple platforms that reflect customer trends and behaviours.
  • Develop KPIs with measure to demonstrate ROI across all aspects of the business
  • Effectively source, select and manage marketing agency relationships to drive business performance, ensuring value for money is always achieved.
  • Lead the delivery of a marketing plan and set budgets
  • Manage effective and engaging multi-channel campaigns to amplify brand reach, drive sales and deepen consumer engagement
  • Lead, manage and develop a cross-functional team to grow the business and the team
  • Identify and negotiate key external partnerships to drive growth
  • Develop an outstanding e-commerce customer experience to drive loyalty and sales
  • Use digital analytics to generate insight to inform future strategies
  • To manage key media, press visits, and other stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate and engage internal and external agencies and stakeholders
  • Develop KPIs with measure to demonstrate ROI across all aspects of the business
  • Frequent reporting on all channel highs and lows

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven track record of successful delivery, with significant previous experience leading multi-disciplinary marketing teams.
  • Extensive experience in retail marketing
  • Experience of simultaneously leading multiple and diverse marketing campaigns across different markets
  • A demonstrable evidence-based approach to evaluation.
  • Experience of building insights and analytics capability in a corporate environment.
  • Confident, professional, and resourceful, an open and responsive individual.
  • Tenacious, resilient, and flexible, leads by example and can 'do' as well as 'guide'.
  • A strong networker, influencer, and excellent stakeholder manager.
