About Our Client
My client is a leading health charity in helping deaf children. They have a community of 65,000 parents and professionals who support young deaf children across the UK.
Job Description
- Implement innovative PR campaigns by researching approaches and developing high quality media
- Develop strong relationships with journalists, including national, digital and broad case media
- Establish strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, identify opportunities to promote campaigns
- Respond to media enquiries and stories as they break
- Set up media interviews with spokespeople
- Work closely with the Head of Media & PR in the digital team to support media activity and digital content
The Successful Applicant
- Excellent in PR, journalism and communications
- Excellent track record of planning effective media activity and securing quality media coverage
- Excellent written communications skills and strong experience of wiring for the media including news releases
- Consistent attention to detail; excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive issues and experience of working with case studies
- Experience assimilating complex information such as research reports and stats-based stories into clear, compelling copy, targeted at difference audiences
- Understanding and experience of social media and its use in integrated media campaigns to support and advance media objectives

- £34,318 to £37,065 (depending on experience)
