Job Description

Head of Policy and Research (18 month FTC)

London

Role:

  • Lead the policy and research function by providing labour market intelligence and policy insight.


  • Undertake and commission research, data gathering, forecasting and market intelligent reports.


  • Use insights into skills and industrial policy landscape and inform the Organisation's positioning with Government Departments in Westminster and in the Devolved Administrations.
  • Enhance the Organisation's Policy and research function with key stakeholders
  • Support the development of a Public Affairs Strategy

The Successful Applicant

Head of Policy and Research (18 month FTC)

Essential:

  • Excellent working background and understanding of Public Policy and Government


  • Good understanding of the UK political system and policy-making processes.


  • Outstanding Research and Policy Development experience
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills


  • Good knowledge of Skills Policy
