Job Description

The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy that delivers the businesses ambitious growth plans. The Head of Sales will be responsible for a small team that has a long standing multichannel customer base. The Head of Sales will look to develop new and existing business in line with company expectation. This is an autonomous, hands on leadership role with the Head of Sales taking full accountability for the commercial side of the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • In line with company expectations, ensure that all sales targets are met and exceeded.
  • Play an active part in helping to define and implement the sales strategy.
  • Deliver an accurate sales forecast by utilising the relevant company procedures.
  • Conduct market analysis in order to develop new business opportunities by identifying new market channels as well as increasing market share with existing customers.
  • Lead on new business wins, whilst also managing the businesses long standing Key Accounts

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will demonstrate the below competencies:

  • A strong technical understanding of the textile industry, with a proven track record of success within it.
  • A demonstrable track record of overachieving sales targets within the textile industry.
  • Excellent strategic account management skills with the ability to develop new business opportunities.
  • A strong communicator that is able to build key relationships from board level down, both internally and externally.
  • An autonomous sales leader that is able to take ownership of the strategic vision for the business.
  • Previous experience having developed and implemented a sales strategy would be a distinct advantage.
  • Be commutable to the office in Yorkshire on a regular basis.
