About Our Client
A global chemical manufacturer providing a range of products into business around the world. The business are continuing to expand across regions and produce an important range of products from their site in Cheshire.
Job Description
The Health and Safety advisor will provide advise and support to all levels with in the site in order to develop effective management systems and ensure compliance with auditing bodies and company policy to reduce the risk of harm to people and potential business loss. You will manage the HSE license, collating and recording all relevant data in line with authorities You will be the primary contact for H&S matters on a large site and provide guidance to reduce incidents. You will monitor performance and provide data to the top of the business and have plans for continuous improvement You will provide H&S support for all large projects and shutdowns and manage the site HS budgets
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a broad range of Health and Safety and general manufacturing knowledge and track record. You will have a technical degree in science or engineering and hold a recognised health and safety qualification (ideally NEBOSH diploma or chartered safety practitioner. You will have an excellent approach towards behavioural safety, having trained and developed a health and safety forward thinking culture.
