Job Description

As the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will be undertaking the following:

  • Ensure team effectiveness through positive reinforcement to support the aims and objectives of the team
  • Get involved in the design and implementation of HSE improvement programs and initiatives
  • Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards
  • Develop HSE processes and procedures
  • Representing the HSE team at business unit meetings and other key business forums
  • Develop and engage sound relationships with internal and external customers
  • Carry out regular site audits to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
  • Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
  • Take a lead role in accident/incident and near miss investigation, ensure corrective actions are concluded and follow up closure of all issues
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation and information on all matters of HSE is provided in a timely and complete manner
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry

The Successful Applicant

The successful Health and Safety Business Partner will need to have the following experience and qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General
  • Tech / Grad IOSH
  • NEBOSH Construction
  • The ability to self manage your diary and be a self starter
  • Be able to travel across your region regularly to undertake audits and inspections
  • Be able to travel across the South of England to undertake site audits
  • A valid driving license
  • Proven experience with construction
  • Undertake Health & Safety Audits
  • Have the ability to get around South East England
