They are known for their commitment to consistently providing high-quality products and are looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join their Harrogate based site.

Job Description

The Health, Safety and Environment Manager will report directly into the Operations Director and will form a key part of the senior leadership team. They will be responsible for building a safety first culture across the site and will:

  • Drive the implementation of health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Oversee and manage risk assessments, incident investigations and audits.
  • Lead and nurture a culture of safety within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Implement training programs to educate staff about safety procedures.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
  • Develop strategies to reduce incidents and accidents within the workplace.
  • Report on HSE performance to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager will posses a range of the following:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working to ISO18001 and ISO14001
  • The ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the business
  • A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a relevant field (advantageous)
