About Our Client

Michael Page is working with an elderly care home in Skegness, who are looking for agency HCAs to work on a bank basis.

If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant who has previously worked in an elderly nursing and dementia setting, we are keen to speak with you. Our client in Skegness is looking for flexible staff who can work regular agency work on an ongoing basis. As a Healthcare Assistant you will be comfortable working with elderly residents who may be receiving palliative, end of life, rehabilitation or dementia care.

Job Description

As a Nursing Home Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Skegness you will be responsible for:

  • To assist in the direct care provision of all aspects of the service users assessed needs, which may include;
  • To assist residents in washing, dressing and undressing
  • To participate in the basic care of the residents under the supervision of trained staff e.g. bed bathing, pressure area, mouth care, and eye care
  • To assist the residents with their toileting needs, including continence promotion
  • To assist with domestic duties in the home including cooking cleaning and laundry when the need arises
  • To communicate effectively with other staff, relatives and visitors including professional agencies regarding residents
  • To be familiar with all current policies and procedures and understand your duty to comply and implement them when necessary

As Nursing Home Healthcare Assistant (HCA) you will be:

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and understanding of resident's needs
  • Eager to share knowledge and experience while coming to work daily aiming to learn and develop
  • Available to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyle
  • Based in the Skegness area

The successful Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will have the following:

  • Previous experience in an elderly nursing home
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • NVQ 2 or 3 desirable
  • Flexibility in availability around shift patterns
  • Clear Enhanced DBS
