Job Description

This is an exciting time to join this Midlands in-house business. They are currently recruiting for a Head of Legal position and this role will work directly underneath this lawyer in a new legal function.

If you are looking for an in-house position within a business where you will have significant input into the team and the direction of the legal function, then this could be a great opportunity for you to join a team during a period of growth.

The business is going from strength to strength and the business see the growth of the legal team as a crucial part to help effect this change.

You will be working on commercial contracts and specific projects, as well as assisting with Company Secretarial matters. The business are looking for an experienced commercial lawyer who is able to work independently on contract drafting but there will also be plenty of support and development from the senior lawyer in the team.

The organisation has an excellent culture and the business works in a hybrid way.

This role would suit a lawyer who is looking to work in a small team where they can have genuine autonomy and a genuine input to stakeholders within the business.

The Successful Applicant

It's likely that you will have at least 3 years' experience in Commercial Contracts work ideally in an in-house setting or within a commercial team in a law firm. Ideally you will have also have some exposure to Co Sec work.
