About Our Client
Our client is one of the largest providers of employment, health and disability support programmes in the country. The client is looking to recruit a Commercial Paralegal. Mix of office working ( Manchester or Leeds ) and home working. The client can offer a training contract so a successful Paralegal once they are well established in the legal team/ wider business.
The responsibilities for the Paralegal role will include the below. Some Paralegals may not have legal experience in all of the areas listed but candidates need to have the desire and ability to learn new areas of legal work.
Drafting agreements; be the first point of contact and prepare draft agreements for high volume and/or low value contracts e.g. NDAs and standard template contracts, Partnership Network agreements and SLAs, termination letters and consultancy agreements
Supplier and customer renewals: At the initial stage of supplier/customer renewal.
Review, compare and contrast proposed contract terms against existing terms in order to identify and summarise variances for formal legal review
Contract support: Support the Legal Team with contractual matters in relation to general Procurement and Sales activity. Where required prepare final version contracts for execution and ensure timely facilitation of signature and issue to the supplier, customer or third party
Provide support to the Legal Team during bidding activity and post contract award
Contract register and records: Review and maintain an accurate contract register for all UK client contracts and documentation with up-to-date contract information as well as ensuring hard and electronic copies of all documentation are stored appropriately and in a timely manner
Work with Procurement to ensure all updated hard and electronic copies of all supplier contracts are stored in a secure and accessible manner
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the In House Commercial Paralegal role needs to be educated to graduate level or equivalent - preferably with a degree/diploma in law or considerable vocational experience of working in a legal/contract environment
The Paralegal must have demonstrable Commercial Contract experience

The salary for the In House Commercial Paralegal role is commensurate with market rate. The role is a mix of home working and office working from the clients Manchester or Leeds office. For the right Paralegal there is the opportunity of a training contract once the Paralegal is well established in the role and wider business.
