You'll contribute in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your legal expertise will directly influence business outcomes.Job DescriptionThe In‑House Employment Lawyer will be:Providing day‑to‑day legal advice to HR and business leaders on employment law issues (redundancy, restructuring, disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, equal opportunities etc)Managing tribunal claims and contentious employment litigation from start to finishAdvising and executing TUPE transfers, reorganisations and secondmentsDrafting, negotiating and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, HR policies and proceduresKeeping abreast of legislative change and ensuring the business remains compliantDelivering training sessions and workshops (for HR, line managers, leadership)Contributing to strategic workforce planning and legal risk prevention initiativesThe Successful ApplicantThe In‑House Employment Lawyer should be:A solicitor (or equivalent) with 3+ years' PQE in employment lawExperienced in both contentious and non‑contentious employment mattersSkilled in advising on discrimination/equal ops, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance proceduresExperienced in TUPE, reorganisations and consulting/structuring changesComfortable with union / collective relations (experience a strong advantage)Preferably with prior in‑house or secondment experienceWhat's on OfferYou'll receive a competitive salary of £70,000, plus a 5% performance bonus, and a £5,000 car allowance (which may be taken as a cash alternative).
