Job Description
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the In House Indirect Tax Manager will manage the compliance of all the Indirect Tax responsibilities in all relevant jurisdictions globally.
What you will be responsible for:
- Ensure the company is compliant with all indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage US Sales Tax compliance, working closely with our external partners to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns and remittances.
- Ensure the tax requirements for existing and new jurisdictions are properly captured in financial reporting and billing systems.
- Ensure the business can meet all e-reporting requirements
- Support the wider business on Customs Duty compliance and processes.
- Support the business in its growth plans by offering strategic, ad hoc advice as needed on all projects
- Identify and implement continuous improvement in the tax process and controls
- Manage any external tax audits
- Manage external advisers in relation to all tax matters
- Provide training to other areas of the business

The Successful Applicant
The successful In House Indirect Tax Manager will be:
- Qualified in a professional Accountancy Qualification - ACA / ATT or CTA qualified or qualified by experience in the relevant profession or HMRC
- Significant experience in VAT accounting and financial reconciliations
- Strong UK/EU VAT technical knowledge and an ability to independently problem-solve commercial situations.
- Ability to drive change and work with others to improve processes and controls
- Ability to prioritize workload and keep to deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Outstanding attention to detail whilst keeping in mind the bigger picture
- Ability to drive change and work with others to improve processes and controls
- Experience of working in a private equity environment is desirable
