Excellent exposure to property work in a fast paced environment.
Great team and office culture for a recent LPC graduate.
About Our Client
National top 100 firm with a strong housing team and well known for its expertise in this area. The Winchester office is known for having a great culture, with a number of teams in the office having a large number of paralegals.
Joining as a Housing Paralegal your primary responsibility will be to support the fee earners with their workloads.
You will have exposure to all aspects of a property transaction and, once you get to grips with the role, you will be given a lot of responsibility.
The tasks of a Housing Paralegal will be broad and varied but will likely include: reviewing leases and other title documents; preparing reports; liaising with clients, solicitors and agents; preparing completion statements and handling completion monies; obtaining and reviewing property searches; post completion matters, such as Land Registry filings and SDLT.
The Successful Applicant
You must have gained some experience in a law firm, but this need not have been as a Housing Paralegal or as a paralegal in any area of law. It is essential that your experience in a firm has given you some basic understanding of what will be expected of you.
Experience could have been gained at a local Winchester, large regional or city firm.
You will ideally have completed the LPC already, although this is not essential. Graduates will also be considered.
Solid academics are a must.
