The HR Manager, reporting into the Global HR Director, will be a strategically and operationally aligned HR professional who leads on delivering the overarching organisational people strategy through a value-add and commercially astute service. You will be the key HR interface with internal stakeholders at the Workington site, which comprises of circa 65 employees, and recognised Trade Union representatives.
You will provide HR leadership throughout the entire employee lifecycle to fulfil the requirements of the business.
With a generalist toolkit, you will formulate and deliver a transformation programme that consists of structural and cultural change in HR and the wider business. You will have a focus on managing the ER, IR, Talent, Engagement and D&I agenda on site and have a key focus on Talent, Learning & Development and Engagement and Communications across Europe and the wider Global region.
Naturally, due to the business operations and risk associated with that, Operational Excellence and Health & Safety is a key focus for the employee population - but ultimately your role will be to influence everybody to unlock their true potential.
This role is based in Workington, with additional travel when required for business need.
The Successful Applicant
As an HR Manager, you will be confident and assertive - with an outgoing personality and an informal, yet professional style. You must be able to communicate effectively to all areas of the business; grassroots to leadership.
Understanding the business operations, the talent employed and the strategic focus of the business, you will be a natural business advisor to the leadership team. As an HR leader, you will be the moral compass of the business, and look to evolve behaviours at all levels - within the HR team, and within the wider business.
You will be CIPD qualified, have a keen eye for continuous improvement and be equipped with an astute HR and communication toolkit, which will enable you to manage projects within a senior generalist role; ER, IR, Talent, L&D, Engagement, D&I etc. Therefore, you must have experience within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, which you have supported in taking through a transformative journey.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background within a fast-paced blue-collared environment.
What's on Offer
This role will paid £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience). You will also receive a performance related bonus, along with a suite of benefits.
