Fantastic end-to-end generalist HR role
Well-respected, growing, values-orientated business
About Our Client
It's not often you find an organisation whose values are so central to their everyday work, but in this organisation, you can find evidence of those values in everything they do. These values include fairness, openness, diversity, environmental stewardship, quality and ethical working.
The client is in the business of Health & Wellbeing products, from skincare to supplements and everything in between. Their products are accredited as vegan, ethical and natural, and many of the botanicals used are grown in the on-site 13 acre garden.
The employee population is currently around 80 for the UK site, and continues to grow, as does the turnover, which is sat at around the £10m mark having been closer to £6m as little as three years ago. The workforce is diverse, but includes Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance and Operations (including Production, Quality and Health & Safety).
This is a full end-to-end generalist HR role, and so your responsibilities will be varied, but will include:
- Talent attraction and retention
- Employee engagement and relations
- Talent development
- Reward, compensation and benefits
- HR policy and procedure development
- All associated HR administration
Please note that as this is a standalone role, there is no administrative support - so if you are not happy to stuff envelopes and do a bit of photocopying from time-to-time, this role won't be for you.
The role reports to the Director of Capability, who currently takes responsibility for strategic organisational development matters in addition to a range of other responsibilities. If OD is an area of interest for you, there is the potential to start to assume some of this workload over time.
The Successful Applicant
It goes without saying that you will be a capable HR generalist who is able to tick all of the boxes from a technical perspective. More importantly, you will be without ego, and therefore comfortable with rolling up your sleeves and doing your own admin.
Most critically, your values and ethics will be aligned to those of the organisation - you will be open, transparent and fair, and you will seek to compromise and find common ground, demonstrating empathy of flexibility of thought.
"HR police(wo)men" need not apply.
Some experience in relevant industries (FMCG, Health & Wellbeing, Cosmetics etc).
