About Our Client
Large and growing business with circa 600 staff employed by the group. You would be based at the head office in Bagshot and a part of the senior management team.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
* Development of the HR plan and delivery of the employee lifecycle and special projects
* Provide coaching, support and guidance to all levels of management on HR matters including hiring, performance management, engagement and well-being, training and development and health & safety
* Work with the management team on identifying people priorities and proposals for improving employee engagement across the business - supporting the business to drive change and business growth.
* Manage complex or difficult Employee Relations issues including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, frequent or long-term sickness absences and capability problems and interventions for employee well-being.
* Develop a set of key HR metrics and a monthly/quarterly dashboard for senior management to help inform decision-making on ongoing people priorities
* Further embed the new HR database system, UKG, storing personnel information, booking holidays, on boarding and providing communicating channels with all staff.
* Manage all change management initiatives including organisation design and effectiveness, selection processes, redundancies and running TUPE exercises should the need arise
* Develop and update company policies and Employee Handbook, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements of employment law
* Manage internal communications across the companies so staff are well informed and engaged with updates or changes across the business
* Work with the Health & Safety team to ensure implementation and compliance with safe working practices with particular focus on management of Covid processes
* Manage a small team - coaching, supporting and developing team members to partner effectively with the business on recruitment, engagement and performance management
The Successful Applicant
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Considerable practical experience working in senior HR Business Partner roles with demonstrated ability to progress to the next level of HR
* Experience in developing and implementing HR or People Plans for a client group or business
* Team leader experience
* Background in operational environment
* Strong employment law knowledge and ER experience including handling of investigations, disciplinaries and grievance issues; knowledge or experience of TUPE, redundancies, ACAS and tribunal work would be useful
