Job Description
The key responsibilities for this Indirect Tax Manager based at home and in the South West or from Home are:
- Review of UK Group VAT returns, along with any additional reporting
- Manage other overseas VAT registrations of UK companies
- UK partial exemption and capital goods scheme calculations
- Ensuring requirements for zero rating are met
- Management of indirect tax risks:
- Ensuring processes and controls are in place and maintained to minimise VAT (including Corporate Criminal Offence) risks
- Building relationships and providing VAT advice and support to the business as required (including on cross border and chain transactions in international supply chain)
- Indirect tax project management
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate that will thrive in this Indirect Tax Manager role based at home and in the South West will have/be:
- Qualified VAT specialist (CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA)
- Brings an understanding of EU and non-EU VAT/ sales taxes
- Experience with international VAT & Customs
- Highly motivated team player
- Able to convey complex information in an understandable manner with ability to adapt to the audience
- Demonstrates ownership of responsibilities with a pro-active approach and desire for continuous improvement
