About Our Client
Nuclear business in Cheshire region.
Job Description
Assist in the implementation and management of strategic sourcing strategies and supplier agreements that maximize the business benefits and commercial leverage within.
To receive and understand technical requirements from the Project Management & Engineering groups and to convert given information into RFQ documents.
Undertake spend analysis, supplier assessment and supplier selection to agreed processes recommending vendor selection criteria to identify sourcing options and supply alternatives to enhance supply chain performance.
Negotiate up-to-date agreements and best purchasing terms for individual or blanket procurements in line with corporate policies.
Assist in the day to day management of the purchasing team and requests by Senior Management
Assist in the compilation and updating of the Approved Vendors System.
The Successful Applicant
- CIPS qualified
- Knowledge of SAP
- Extensive Cap-Ex experience / projects
- Evidence of negotiating / leading a negotiation
- Used to handling invitations to tender, placing purchase orders
- Familiar with contract law - terms and conditions
