About Our Client

Engineering business in the North.

Job Description

Work within a multi-discipline project team (Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Quality, Legal and others as required) to lead the supplier selection and contract award for the supply of equipment packages and construction contracts.

The successful candidate will manage the end to end purchasing process for FM and Capex

Identify suitable suppliers to participate in tender process

Prepare and issue tender documents

Commercial tender analysis and selection criteria definition (Supplier Evaluation Matrix).

Negotiations (define negotiation strategy and drive negotiation results).

Review contracts with legal support.

Manage relationship with suppliers, securing their performance in perspective of their project deliverables (time, quality, costs):

Track contract commitments.

Manage Change Orders

Monitor KPIs.

Analyse and evaluate capital and revenue options and lead decision making process

The Successful Applicant

Extensive experience with procurement of equipment and construction contracts for the chemical industry (10 years+), in an Engineering, EPCM or EPC company

Experience in selecting and procuring FM and Capex including specific knowledge of suppliers in the UK and internationally who can provide the equipment required.
