They also have one of the fastest growing development and maintenance programmes for social housing in the country.Job Description The Key responsibilities will include:Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase and they take account and issue all relevant pre-construction information (such as an existing health and safety file) that might affect design work carried out both before and after the construction phase has startedHelp and advise the client in bringing together pre-construction information, and provide the information designers and contractors need to carry out their dutiesWork with any other designers on the project to eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks to anyone affected by the work and, where that is not possible, take steps to reduce or control those risksEnsure that everyone involved in the pre-construction phase communicates and cooperates, coordinating their work wherever requiredBuilding, maintaining stakeholder relationships, keeping the Principal Contractor informed of any risks that need to be controlled during the construction phaseEstablish a record of principles and decisions taken in relation to health and safety from design inception, then monitoring and reporting to completionAdvising on the development of the project brief and ensuring appropriate notification to HSE of project particularsFrequent site visits and to carry out an initial appraisal to establish existing hazards and site restrictionsAdvise and assisting clients in the appointment of contractors and reviewing H&S implications of procurement methods in respect of CDM 2015 RegulationsEstablish safe methods for construction of unusual or complex designs, including this as part of the pre-construction informationReview and commenting on principal contractor's construction phase plans on behalf of the client and advising when these are considered developed sufficiently for work to start on siteCompile health and safety files during the project and handing over to the client on completionRepresent the company in a professional and diligent manner to form strong working relationshipsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful interim in this role will have:Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and HealthNEBOSH Construction CertificateCertified or incorporated member of the Association for Project Safety (CMaPS/IMaPS)Membership of IOSHSubstantial experience in delivering CDM principal designer services (as defined in the CDM 2015 Regulations) to a range of sector clients.Advanced knowledge of all relevant legislation applicable to health and safety, particularly construction and the CDM Regulations.Technical credibility and an advanced understanding of current legislation relating to Construction.Substantial experience and working knowledge of ISO StandardsHighly developed organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, managing your time effectively to meet conflicting deadlinesWhat's on OfferA competitive daily rate of around £300/dayOpportunity to work with a highly respected organisation in the not-for-profit and charities sector..Agile workingIf you believe you have the skills and experience required for this Interim role and are ready for this exciting challenge, we encourage you to apply today.ContactMarc JenningsQuote job refJN-082024-6501508Phone number+44 161 829 0376Job summaryJob functionPropertySubsectorHSE & QSectorPropertyLocationMerseysideContract typeTemporaryConsultant nameMarc JenningsConsultant phone+44 161 829 0376Job referenceJN-082024-6501508
