About Our Client

My clients are a Local Authority based in Worcestershire who manage services for two specific areas across the region. They are well established, but are looking for additional support managing their year-end process.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for the Interim Financial Accountant including managing the year end process, completing their Final Accounts to IFRS standards and managing all Government returns.

This is a rewarding but hands on position and requires the successful candidate to work using their own initiative whilst supporting the Chief Accountant in their day-to-day responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant and ideally have experience of leading and managing teams within a Local Government environment.

Whilst the client can be flexible in finding a balance between working in the office and working from home, there will be a requirement to be in the office and therefore, will probably need to drive. A happy medium maybe, working from home 2 days per week.

  • Complete year end, final accounts
  • Complete all government returns
  • Deputise for Chief Accountant
  • Be hands on
  • Deliver against tight deadlines and timescales

What's on Offer

6 month contract, inside IR35, starting in January 2021.
