Job Description

  1. Responsible for identifying a portfolio of high impact procurement initiatives/opportunities
  2. Responsible for establishing ways of working, communication and governance
  3. Work towards the objective of significantly improving commercial and cost capability
  4. Liasing with and managing a diverse stakeholder group including each of the hospital trusts, ICBs, NHS England and other stakeholders within the region, including procurement, finance, and technical experts
  5. Competent to negotiate with procurement leads, finance directors, medical directors, and technical experts to enable collaborative working
  6. Reporting on progress to the programme Steering Group and programme Board, including seeking advice and guidance from the Procurement Leads Collective.
  7. Accountable as the programme support for the Procurement Programme & responsible for delivering to this mandate set by the programme lead

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced with creating commercial strategies
  • Knowledge and experience of working within the NHS
  • Experience working within Estates & Facilities and Medical/Surgical Equipment projects
