About Our Client

This is a well-established manufacturer that is looking to invest in developing clear and repeatable manufacturing processes across the group. As the Interim Project Engineering Manager, you will be working with all levels within the business in order to assess sites & implement equipment improvement pans.

Job Description

As the Project Engineering Manager you will be executing the site CAPEX plan during an exciting period of growth & investment. You will manage the introduction of new equipment, processes & services through improvement & capital investment projects.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Oversee project work offering guidance and support to those responsible for the management of the project.
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information to the Site Leader and others within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions and managers necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
  • Ensure project activities meet Company requirements for quality management, EHS, external legislation and general duty of care and best practice.
  • Lead and manage critical projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring adherence to time lines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements, deliverables, and key performance indicators.
  • Utilise your exceptional problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any potential issues.
  • Implement best practices and innovative strategies to optimise project outcomes and enhance overall operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

An Project (Engineering) Manager with extensive manufacturing capex project experience within a processing setting & the following:

  • Knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance with knowledge of electrical/systems controls
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance in a multi-functional environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
