International Customs & Trade Compliance Manager
Lead global customs & trade compliance strategy/delivery
International print, mail & communication solutions company
About Our Client
Bluecrest - where message meets momentum.
We are an international print, mail & communications solutions company. Our goal is to collaborate, innovate and grow our customers' businesses. Whether it's printing, sorting, filling or software, we have the tools to take your business communications to the next level.
Formally a division of Pitney Bowes, we are now a new company that combines a track record of global leadership, with the ambition, dynamism and innovation of a brand new business.
It is a great time to join us at Bluecrest - a chance to shape our business, contribute to delivering our vision, and to give your own career the momentum it deserves.
The International Customs & Trade Compliance Manager will lead all Bluecrest customs and trade compliance processes and strategies. We have inherited our current processes from Pitney Bowes, so we have a foundation in place - but we are a new business now, and we need to take a fresh look at how we do things.
You will ensure that all customs and trade-related requirements are met across our supply chain, that our compliance is perfect, and that any changes/risks are identified and mitigated early.
On top of that, though, we need you to develop and implement a customs and trade compliance strategy. You will evaluate and analyse our current processes, identifying areas for improvement and change, and optimising our supply chain from a tax and cost perspective. You will be a leader in our business, ensuring that this strategy is delivered across all business areas.
The Successful Applicant
Our key markets are Europe and the United States, so we need someone with significant exposure to both regions. You will need to have a deep knowledge of customs and trade compliance, including regulations, standards and sanctions. This is a critical role for us, so we need someone who has operated at senior management level before.
Ideally you will have a background in a light manufacturing business, and have experience of not just delivering existing processes, but of setting up and improving processes too - with all of the change management, project and leadership skills that go along with that. Any customs or import/export qualifications would be great, but our priority is your experience and skills.
This role is based in Hertfordshire (with travel), but we have a flexible attitude to location - remote working is available.
