Job Description

Promoting compliance awareness at the most senior level

On-going liaison and keeping up to date with central compliance frameworks and making any necessary adjustments to align with UK compliance legislation

To encourage compliance and highlight potential risks

Creating and maintaining the governance framework, monitoring compliance with requirements, monitoring business processes

Establishing and maintaining a record of operational procedures manuals and analysing monthly reports

Facilitate the flow of information, providing key information to employees

Liaising with board members, fulfilling requests for information

GDPR specific:

· Undertaking audits; assessing all data held, ensuring it will be fit for purpose and compliant

· Highlighting the risks and penalties at a senior level and identify key priorities

· Training staff in GDPR awareness

· Ensuring Privacy Impact Assessments are part of business-as-usual

Manage high profile corporate projects, where you will use your insight, management skills and knowledge of the Company's strategy to add value

Liaise on legal issues pertaining to compliancy Develop and review company policies and procedures

Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations

Act accordingly, in a time efficient manor, to any audit discoveries or GDPR requests

Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk

Liaise with Internal Controls in VI to facilitate the internal audits and action findings

Keep up to date with FCA regulations and best practice

Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes

The Successful Applicant

Data Protection Compliance experience, including full GDPR regulatory knowledge

Proven track record of providing advice on complex and technical areas of compliance regulation

Effective communication skills, written, spoken and listening

Previous experience with FCA compliance legislation

Transactional tax experience

Ability to act independently and liaise confidently with governing bodies as well as Board- level stakeholders

Ability to balance commercial and compliance considerations
