Job Description

Working alongside and with input from Group Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing a calendar of marketing activity throughout the year, including the following key elements:

  • Through desktop research and regular reading of industry press, develop an understanding of the market in which the client operates and themes and trends impacting on our customer base;
  • Based on this understanding, and in collaboration with the Sales Team, develop a calendar of messaging to be used across social media, email marketing and advertising;
  • Create, schedule and report on eshot campaigns using email marketing software, including quarterly customer newsletter eshots;
  • Develop blog content and digital case studies for the website;
  • Work with the UK Marketing Manager on brand positioning and customer segmentation to fully profile the customer base in relation to other brands
  • Liaise with Marketing Executive to write and schedule content for social media channels;
  • Working closely with Sales and Operations teams to identify news stories, writing press releases, and forging relationships with industry publications to generate editorial coverage;
  • Copywriting brochures and managing production of quarterly digital company newsletter;
  • Managing exhibitor presence at trade shows, and identifying opportunities to raise profile through industry awards;
  • Input into the business' SEO and PPC strategy liaising with the Digital Marketing Manager;
  • Managing programme of Customer Satisfaction Surveys via email and over the phone;
  • Liaising with Sales Team to capture details of completed projects where photography can be taken and organising photographers to attend site;
  • Compiling regular competitor analysis reports,and monitoring of trade press.
  • Compilation of lead generation and activity reports for Group Marketing Manager as part of cycle of Sales and Management Meetings.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in a B2B environment with a strong sales focus and will be keen to develop to the next level in their marketing career and take on greater responsibility.

Essential Criteria:

  • Understanding of lead generation, SEO and PPC
  • Experience of website content creation;
  • Strong written communication skills and accuracy;
  • Experience of working with suppliers, media and publishers;
  • Experience of email software packages;
  • Experience of CRM and lead generation reporting;
  • Confident telephone manner;
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word/Excel/Powerpoint);
  • Strong organisational skills, an ability to multitask and an eye for detail;
  • A proven ability to work to deadline;
  • Confident use of social media channels for professional use;
  • A willingness to travel if required (Full Clean Driving Licence).
