About the Real Estate Practice

Real Estate is a core focus of the firm, with approximately 60% of its lawyers dedicated to the sector. The team advises on a wide range of matters including investment, finance, development, construction, asset management, planning, environmental issues, and dispute resolution. The practice is ranked among the top 15 in the UK and supports clients across sectors such as office, retail, logistics, hospitality, life sciences, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain precedents, practice notes, and know-how resources, with a focus on commercial property
  • Provide regular updates on legislation, case law, and policy developments
  • Design and deliver training programmes, including interactive seminars and workshops
  • Collaborate with other Knowledge Lawyers and the Knowledge Management team
  • Support regulatory and compliance initiatives in partnership with the General Counsel & Risk team
  • Work with Innovation and Business Transformation teams to enhance internal systems using automation and AI tools
  • Assist with marketing and business development content, including articles and publications
  • Maintain relationships with external organisations and attend industry events to stay current with market practices

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE preferred
  • Strong technical expertise in commercial real estate law, including landlord and tenant, asset management, investment, finance, and development
  • Experience with workflow automation and generative AI tools
  • Prior PSL or Knowledge Lawyer experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex projects
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to mentor junior team members
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the sectors in which the firm operates
