Job Description

Lead Data Engineer - Innovative FinTechThe organisation is looking for a high-calibre individual to lead Data Engineering, who has had experience in scaling architectures.Responsibilities:You have

  • Experience / best practice knowledge with a wide variety of languages and frameworks, with recent in-depth expertise in creating & managing data pipelines using MongoDB, Kafka, Snowflake, Redshift or similar
  • Experience constructing data pipelines ground-up and interfacing with/upto Data Analytics layer. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centres and AWS regions.
  • Agile Delivery experience
  • Strong coding experience (Python, Java script etc)
  • An unquenchable thirst to code, automate and innovate

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience working with financial systems / services
  • Integrated with SaaS providers like Mambu, RailsBank, Marqeta
  • Working knowledge of containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with building observability into services to track usage and health (New Relic)

A basic Salary of up to £110,000 depending upon experience
