Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Line management responsibility of up to 4 L&D Coordinators with a responsibility to raise any people or work issues promptly with the L&D Manager
- Line management duties including conducting performance reviews and appraisals, approving holidays and monitoring absence, as well as providing day-to-day support and mentoring
- Attend catch up meetings and reviews with the L&D Manager
- Provide support, mentoring and feedback, as well as individual weekly catch ups, for a team of L&D Coordinators
- Plan and allocate the curriculum of training and monitor progress in collaboration with the L&D Manager
- Allocate work to the L&D Coordinators and Digital Learning team
- Act as the main point of contact for global planning, as well as global programme delivery plans for the year
- Review existing processes to refine and streamline practices for quality and effectiveness
- Oversee the creation and updating of procedures
- Lead on the recruitment of new hires within the L&D team, including attending interviews and providing feedback to candidates
- Act as the main point of contact for global L&D materials
- Provide supervisory support to the L&D Coordinators for both internal and external training
- Complete course administration including booking rooms, producing learning materials and arranging internal and external speakers
- Manage communication with travel agents, vendors, and hotels, as well as dealing with any travel-related queries
- Authorise all course-related expenses
- Administer psychometric assessments and produce reports
- Work on key L&D projects
The Successful Applicant
- Previous experience in a L&D role
- Experience of working in a professional services environment
- Management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Solution-orientated and takes initiative on projects and tasks
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Excellent organisational and administration skills
- Ability to engage with key stakeholders and deal with people at all levels
- Strong attention to detail - always striving for high quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Experience and working knowledge of Learning and Development
