About Our Client
This is a Logistics Analyst position for a global engine manufacturer, leading the way in developing new and state of the art alternative power technologies whilst manufacturing day to day engines for the future.
This client has strong distribution networks all over Europe, providing the products as well as aftermarket support, servicing and repairs. This client services over 300 distributors across its network, whilst they design, manufacture and distribute power solutions globally.
The role of Logistics Analyst for this client is Daventry will have you Collaborate with suppliers, forwarders and agents to acquire up to date shipment information. You will need to produce shipping documentation in line with new legislation post Brexit
With this Logistics Analyst role you will be responsible for 2 junior team members, developing and training them to understand customs documentation and compliance post Brexit.
You will be advising on VAT and tax duties in European countries and ensuring the business is compliant in all of those areas.
You will develop relationships with third party freight forwarding providers and make sure to negotiate the best rates with these providers.
The Successful Applicant
If you have experience as a Logistics Analyst or in a customs role, whether it be within a freight forwarder or internally within a manufacturer and you are open to a 12 month FTC, then get in touch and let us discuss this further.
if you have experience of managing a team within a customers or import / export role then this would be even better.
My client would really need you to have multi-modal freight forwarding knowledge and knowledge of the customs changes post Brexit. It would also be beneficial if you had experience of setting KPIs for on time deliveries and limiting wastage. A knowledge of international supply chain would also be very beneficial.
