Our client manufacturing perishable FMCG goods in a face-paced 24/7 operation turning over circa £180 million on a yearly basis.Job DescriptionAs a Logistics Despatch Planner you will report into the Planning Operations Manager on a daily basis in Burton-on-Trent in Derbyshire. You would will be responsible for the following areas:Discuss with third party transport, forwarder and hauliers and agree the daily transport plan in accordance with Company policies and procedures as required.Provide day-to-day support of warehouse dispatch operatives to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of resources to ensure all customer transport requirements are met.Ensure that all products are correctly picked and labelled to meet the transport plan and customer deliveries.Ensure that all necessary paperwork for all products is completed for dispatch.Coordinate with the Veg team to ensure the timely availability of stocks for dispatch.To set up and maintain dispatch stocks within the WMS systemOperate plant and equipment as required in accordance with the retailer's / manufacturer's specification.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Logistics Despatch Planner will have a varied and vast background in Logistics within either warehouse or transport planning, along with subcontractor managements.
