They run a busy operations covering the Manufacturing, Logistics distribution and supply chain sector.

Job Description

The Logistics Manager - Manufacturing Environment will be responsible for;

Manage the logistics department as per company strategy

Report on the logistics KPI's, quantities, labour hours and shipments

Manage the administration of inbound and outbound movements

Minimise logistics employee absence, provide at all times, the required loading capacity to execute the scheduled shipments in time

Receiving / storage / Issuing to each of the separate manufacturing units in the site

3rd Party Supplier Management, selection & contract negotiation

Service Management, single point of contact / ownership Logistics

Leadership & management of all logistics staff

Deliver on customer commitments in terms of deliveries on time & in full

Establish & manage a LEAN approach to Logistics

Set and achieve cost targets / budgets to meet standard costs

Install the ethos of continuous improvement

Responsible for the safety behaviour and safety results of employees

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Logistics Manager - Manufacturing environment will meet the following criteria:

Previous experience of a minimum of 5 years working in logistics/supply chain/transportation functions, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Expert technical knowledge of Import/Export (Air, Road, Sea) and customs regulations
Experience of working within Manufacturing
Proven experience of managing a team
An understanding of the end-to-end manufacturing function is desirable
Strong IT systems knowledge including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Commutable to Ammanford
