Job Description
- Preparation of monthly management accounts & monthly reporting.
- To produce weekly departmental P&L's & compare to the above.
- Produce detailed sales analysis by customer & department.
- To help in the preparation of the annual budget.
- To assist in the year end and ½ year-end financial accounts.
- To support all areas of the Finance Team including Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger & analysis relating to the Nominal Ledger.
- To maintain the highest quality standards with due regard to the Customer's requirements and in line with HACCP, BRC and any other internal or external legislation / audits.
- To be aware of and adhere to the Company's Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements and Qualifications: Must have ability to work in a team as well as being able to focus and work alone. Be able to work to strict weekly & monthly deadlines. Have an eye for detail and question when figures seem incorrect. The ability to engage with other departments to source information.
- CIMA / ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant (Role would suit someone newly qualified)
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to priorities deadlines within a varied workload.
- Determination and initiative to ensure invoices are paid as required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A moderate to high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.
- Previous experience in a Distribution role would be an advantage but not essential.
- Team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Time Management skills, the ability to prioritise workload as well as multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
What's on Offer
circa £40,000 salary
£2,000 bonus based on very realistic targets
