Job Description
- Preparation of management accounts including SoCNE and SoFP
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Balance sheet and account reconciliations
- Month-end accruals, pre-payments and journals
- Supporting year end audit
- Controlling inter-group recharges and ensuring monthly reconciliations are carried out
- Completing monthly analysis of cross-hire arrangements
- Analysing profitability of the transport function, highlighting and resolving any issues
- Completing workings on revenue, including revenue recognition and variance analysis
- Analysis and reconciliation of sales in advance, credit note provisions, late sales and early terminations
- Supervision of fixed asset accounting
The Successful Applicant
- CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant
- Experience in fixed assets accounting - essential
- Advanced Excel skills - essential
- Experienced in management and financial accounting
- Netsuite experience - desirable
- Analytical mindset, with an excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated individual, with a strong desire to challenge the status quo and offer innovative solutions
- Confident in communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues
- Able to build and maintain cross-functional relationships, developing trust and credibility across the business
- Flexible approach and ability to work under pressure
