Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and manage budgets effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Support the year-end audit process with relevant documentation and insights.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should be:

  • Ideally working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the retail or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
