Job Description

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to support business planning.
  • Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes within the organisation.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Provide financial insights to aid strategic decision-making within the retail sector.
  • Oversee cash flow management to ensure the organisation remains financially stable.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior finance team members.
  • Assist the Financial Controller

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in management accounting, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments.
