Job Description

Reporting:

The Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller.

Key Accountabilities

· Assist with the annual budget preparation process in collaboration with department heads and the finance team.

· Support the production of regular income and expenditure and cashflow forecasts.

· Support the finance team in embedding the month-end close process.

· Produce regular reconciliations of cashflow actuals against forecasts.

· Manage the fixed asset registers and depreciation.

· Support with legacy pension scheme administration.

· Support the finance team in producing financial papers for College Executive and Governors.

· Provide financial support and guidance to non-financial colleagues across the school.

· Manage the termly pupil charity collections and payment of donations.

· Completion of ONS Surveys.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

At least 5 years' experience working in a management accountant or similar level role within a Finance Team.

Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA with relevant experience

Accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficient IT literacy - particularly in Excel and Outlook.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands.

Able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues across varying roles and seniority within the school
