Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsManufacturing Engineer with focused experience in NPIThe Client is a successful manufacturer based in ManchesterAbout Our ClientA successful Manufacturer based in Manchester.Job DescriptionTakes ownership for Engineering NPI activities.Work closely with the NPI coordinator and program managers to manage new products, engineering changes, tooling and supplier resource activities from an NPI perspective. Monitor the rollout of ODT & PPAP batches. Measure process effectiveness to critical KPIs.Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering department for all NPI activities.Liaise with external suppliers and internal customers - production, supply chain, and quality on all new products being introduced to the business, ensuring compliance to any customer specific requirements.Validate proposed new transfer products from a process, tooling and documentation requirement using bespoke DFM methodology.Obtain supplier timing plans for tooling and equipment, with support from Manufacturing EngineeringUtilise 3D modelling and creative thinking, alongside manufacturing engineering, to produce bespoke tooling, or adapt current tooling and equipment to reduce costs as much as possible for launch.APQP support & management of related tasks.
