With a contemporary office in the leafy country side of East Sussex, the business is well connected to a train line - 1.15 minutes from London Bridge and 30 minutes from Brighton.

Job Description

You will take full responsibility for the direction, development, planning and delivery of actions by our growing online marketing team. Your proven experience in online customer acquisition and retention, together with your drive and ambition will enable you to play a full senior role at a results-based level.

You will be responsible for a budget well in excess of 1 million for PPC, and a team of more than 12 including our CS team. You will be expected to develop and mentor the team members and oversee their activities. Analyse and adjust all activities across the sales and marketing programmes and be very creative in developing new areas of activities. You will interact with our PPC, UX, SEO external agency partners and our internal product development teams. You should be able to demonstrate ideas and actions that help move our marketing away from PPC and into more organic social channels as well as an ability to develop relationships in areas such as brand, brand ambassadors, traditional PR etc.

The Successful Applicant

For the Marketing Director position, we are looking for a leader who will have a major impact and future in the company, as such, we are looking for an ambitious individual and proven leader.

You will have a proven experience at a senior level in ecommerce sales and marketing for an established online retailer ideally in the creative, design or home sector. We would expect your experience would extend to at least 8-10 years with proven successes. Your qualifications should be relevant to this post and your technical knowledge and experience should also be extensive and up to date. You will be searching for your next major challenge where you can assert your skills and responsibilities. Additionally, you will have soft skills that will enable you to lead your team through great communication, flexibility and creative flair.
