Job Description


Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure product changes are communicated quickly & effectively
    • Ensure all product, lead time, promotional & price changes are communicated to all the relevant departments through the weekly merchandise notes
    • Ensure the reason behind changes are explained effectively
    • Completing the information in the merchandise notes in an accurate & relevant manner.



  • Ensure pricing and ticketing of products on the shop floor is accurate



o Ensure all seasonal supplier promotions are effectively & timely communicated with the company

o Ensure store POS price tickets are accurate & arrive at stores on-time

o Set up additional store discounting codes for specific promotions

  • Ensure supplier catalogue information & lead times are accurate at all times
    • Ensure supplier catalogues information (product description, sizes, prices, discounts) are kept up-to-date and accurate
    • Work closely with suppliers to ensure supplier lead times are accurate and how lead times can be reduced
    • Closely monitor supplier lead times where products are purchased in bulk / containers to ensure Customer Special Orders lead times so not come in later than the lead time quoted at point of sale



  • Ensure purchase orders are processed to suppliers efficiently, accurately and in the most profitable format
    • Ensure purchase orders are processed to suppliers in an accurate and efficient daily manner
    • Ensure all applicable supplier seasonal, annual or bulk discounts are applied to each purchase order

  • Ensure supplier acknowledgment of purchase orders is done effectively and variances resolved within suppliers time parameters
    • Ensure supplier acknowledgement are exactly matched, in a timely manner, to our POs (by item details, cost, delivery date etc)
    • Investigate differences with the sales staff, resolve & communicate back to the supplier, in a timely manner, any variances between Supplier acknowledgments and our POs.



  • Investigate Supplier Invoice cost differences (between Invoice & our PO)
    • Investigate supplier invoice differences to see if supplier error or internal costing issue
    • Liaise with the Merchandising Manager if disputed pricing or discounts
    • Resolve if an internal costing issue and recommend changes to selling prices if required



  • Ensure all actions are 'On Brand' and focus on delivering exceptional customer experience
    • Implement a culture of exceptional customer experience & loyalty
    • Ensure all communications are always "on brand" & in line with Group Policy



  • Ensure that new ranges are set up correctly and efficiently
    • Correctly input product information in to the catalogue e.g. prices, descriptions, codes, suppliers, discounts etc.
    • Ensure that new ranges are added to floor plans
    • Ensure that price tickets are completed correctly for new ranges
