About Our Client

UK's largest online retailer for consumer electronics & IT goods.

Working alongside the Buyer, plan and implement the Top-line Budgets for sales/profit/stock management in line with wider company strategy
Work with the Buyers to accurately forecast item-level demand;
Ensure orders are in place with suppliers to meet the forecasted demand, managing the PO signoff process with the Head of Buying and Finance teams;
Present and review forecasted sales, profit, stockholding and inbound stock data to allow our Commercial and Operations teams to plan activity and resources;
Communicate with our supply base to ensure quoted lead times are being met, and best practices are being followed in the shipment of our goods;
Analyse the productivity of our stock, and provide pricing and clearance activity recommendations to the Buying team to ensure any ageing stock is removed quickly;
Work with the Buying and Web Trading teams on future product range strategy, providing insights from the performance of the existing portfolio to identify growth opportunities;
Regularly review the performance of non-stocked items, and identify opportunities to save cost and improve service levels by bringing products into stock;
Recommend and implement improvements to existing and future forecasting models.

Previous experience of Merchandising or Supply Chain Planning roles within a Retail environment;
Appreciation and understanding of range and trade planning
Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail;
Customer focus;
Drive and passion for delivering continuous improvement;
Proven ability to work with and influence other teams and functions;
Highly organised and structured with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
