Job Description
This business are in need of a Multi-Skilled Engineer who will be working as part of a team, leading the implementation of efficient reactive & preventative maintenance processes. This is an exciting opportunity to be able to interact cross functionally in order to improve their engineering efficiency. You will also be required to work alone as well as part of a team & some key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Engineering team to ensure safe systems of work and a safe working environment is achieved
- Responsible for Production line equipment and to assist with Site services equipment where required
- To support with downtime monitoring & targeting, tasks & resource planning & scheduling, auditing & management of process check sheets, maintaining of food safe environment, housekeeping & safety standards leadership & auditing, management and control of contractors & suppliers, engineering permits and shift hand-over coordination
- Work with the engineering management team to develop and implement a sustainable maintenance best practice regime across site to maximise plant reliability, efficiency and safety
- Take active role as required in small project coordination to include project scope, timetable of works, EH&S planning, budget allocation & control and project implementation
Working Hours: Mixture of Days/Nights & Weekends
The Successful Applicant
A Multi-skilled Engineer, ideally with experience within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. The successful applicant will have:
- Recognised electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
- Ideally, 18th Edition or equivalent
- Understanding of PLC & computer controlled equipment
- Competent electrical / electronic fault finding and analysis skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
- Sound communication & training skills
