About Our Client
Michael Page have partnered with an outstanding engineering and manufacturing business. An established expert residing at the forefront of their field who manufacture devices used within the construction industry and more.
Out of their South Yorkshire site they are looking to expand their engineering capability by bringing a New Product Development Manager to assist with implementing the vision of this growing business.
As the New Product Development Manager, you will be expected to oversee and control an established team of dedicated and specialised design engineers and draughtsmen.
As well as including the typical roles of an Engineering Manager, this role also requires the ability to convert a design into production, considering cost effectiveness while maintaining an on time and in full quality structured manufacturing process.
Recent investment into on site automated manufacture has created an opportunity to refine the current manufacturing processes. Implementing lean, while overseeing the development of new and existing products will be key to taking advantage of these recent developments.
You will take the lead on project planning, tracking and management responsibilities in order to ensure the success of your team and the development of new products.
The Successful Applicant
This is a key position within the business. As a result you must be comfortable working across all levels of business and reporting your progress to senior level stakeholders. You will be team centred and able to create effective internal working relationships by communicating effectively.
The Successful New Product Development Manager:
- Hold as a minimum a Bachelor's degree within an engineering field (Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing/Design/Structural)
- Have significant post graduate experience in Engineering Management/Project Management professions.
- An understanding of 2D/3D CAD (Packages various)
- Experience within designing for a manufacturing business, preferably machining, fabrication and assembly.
