About Our Client

My client, a Medical Device Manufacturer, are looking to hire a Operations Director to provide technical and managerial leadership to operation activities. Having been bought by a larger group, they have the investment to take the business to the next level through continuous growth by consistently hitting record sales turnover.

Job Description

* Comply with the facility environmental policy and any applicable operational controls in order to meet the established environmental objectives and targets.
* Responsible for the development of resources within the organization to insure continuity and career path promotional opportunities.
* Manages, through direct reports, all area activities.
* Ensure that employees have the best possible working conditions, through the development of HS&E systems and policies to prevent unreasonable health and safety risks.
* Develops a management style within the organization that encourages a teamwork, innovation, people participation and development.
* Receive organizational goals and customer requirements and leads the operation to develop strategies and methods to meet them.
* Develop and implement appropriate cost reduction systems.
* Assures compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
* Initiates, supports and facilitates operational continuous improvement, cost reduction and productivity efforts.
* Develop budgets and assure compliance with budgetary requirements in accordance with corporate, divisional and governmental regulations.
* Responsible for empowering members of the organization to implement ISO standards and other regulatory standards applicable to the plant(s).
* Responsible for the effective implementation of the Manufacturing Plan.
* Responsible for the daily liquidity management of the subornative area in accordance with company directions.
* Responsible for preparing the plant to secure a successful launch of new programs in accordance with the applicable time schedules and customer requirements.
* Communicate and uphold company policy and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

* Degree / business engineering level with previous experience of working within a high volume, medical manufacturing environment, coupled with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
* Experience as an Operations/Production Manager in the medical industry
* Managerial, Technical & administrative skills required - Should be fully conversant with medical quality tools and systems
* Sound understanding of Quality, Business and OEM systems/standards

* Proven leadership and management skills within a challenging environment
* Good knowledge of structured problem-solving tools and methodologies
* Excellent communicator, both written and verbal at all levels
* Excellent presentation skills

* Excellent motivator, self-starting, with an enthusiastic approach
