About Our Client
Our client are a Foundation and registered charity whose mission is to provide access to credit and other financial services for those excluded from mainstream financial services and who would otherwise fall prey to predatory lenders.
The business is operated on a not-for-profit basis, interest and fees paid on finance is used to cover our costs and not to provide dividends for shareholders, surpluses are used to provide additional loans for people.
To deliver its mission the Foundation has three subsidiaries that collectively provide a variety of administration services to alternative financial services companies around the UK. These services enable our business clients to support under-served individuals and communities to access affordable credit budgeting advice and support.
The Operations Manager in Birmingham will;
Oversight of all regulated retail operations
Strategic oversight of the customer experience, collection operations and service team, including providing coaching and feedback
Ensuring delivery of lending operations is in line with the credit policy.
Driving an agenda of continuous improvement to improve efficiency and resilience of lending operations.
Ongoing quality assurance.
Oversight of weekly and monthly MI reporting and adherence to SLAs.
Working with partners and third parties to deliver new products and services.
Continuously developing and training of personnel within a regulated environment.
The Successful Applicant
The Operations Manager based in Birmingham will;.
Management experience across Consumer lending (essential).
Experience of using UK Credit Reference Agency services.
Understanding of UK Credit Industry Regulation (Consumer Credit Act).
Experience of FCA regulatory framework (CONC).
Proven ability to lead projects and change.
Wide exposure to the full credit lifecycle including acquisition / underwriting, fraud, account management, collections and recoveries.
Ability to deliver clear and accurate reporting.
Strong knowledge risk management and audit procedures.
Understanding of UK Collections guidance and regulations.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint
