About Our Client

The Operations Manager will lead the team to ensure that product is manufactured to the required quality, yield, throughput, cost and insufficient quantity to meet customer demand. The site must be ran to the highest level of HSE and performance in line with COMAH regulations. The role will be responsible for process safety and adherence to HSE policies and arrangements. The role will be responsible for a mid-size team working 24-7 shift patterns and will coach, mentor, develop and recruit the team to ensure the highest level of performance. In addition the Operations Manager will be responsible for planning of raw materials, scheduling and working cross functionally with the supply chain teams. The role will ensure that continuous improvement is part of culture and reduce wast through relevant lean, six-sigma initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in chemistry or chemical engineering or related background. In addition you will have a proven track record in production/operations leadership in a related environment involving maintenance and engineering. Furthermore you will have excellent people management skills alongside ability to budget, forecast and utilise cost control techniques. You will have a track record of delivering a lean/six-sigma approach and be an excellent communicator at all levels.
