Job Description

With site-wide responsibility the Operations Manager will form part of the business wide senior leadership team. They will have responsibility for several disciplines, including production, quality, health & safety and customer service across all aspects of the site. You will be tasked with delivering inspirational leadership and developing a culture of succession through a team of direct reports.Other day to day responsibility will include:

  • Delivering results on budget requirements, production and stock management
  • Achieving KPIs
  • Managing core values to create a cohesive team
  • Developing a culture focussed on continuous improvement across the whole site
  • Developing high performing teams
  • Contributing to operational strategy
  • Acting as an agent for change

The Successful Applicant

The successful Operations Manager will have a strong assembly led manufacturing background and a proven ability in leading and developing teams. You will provide inspirational management and possess:

  • A demonstrable background in manufacturing (ideally in an automotive, aerospace or similar discipline)
  • A relevant technical background
  • An exemplary track record of health & safety delivery and improvement
  • A successful track record in mentoring and developing emerging talent
  • Experience of managing teams of 50+
  • A proven continuous improvement skill set comfortable with using data
  • Strong, passionate and motivational leadership and communication skills with the ability to build a culture of succession
  • An innovative and customer focussed approach
