This manufacturing and installation company are looking for an Operations Manager to manage and develop the small team of professional manufactures, be hands on in the day to day running of the site and assist in achieving ambitious growth plans by constantly challenging existing processes.

Job Description

This role provides an exciting progression opportunity for an exceptional Production Manager, with experience in improving production planning and business growth, to step into an Operations Manager role of a forward-thinking SME business based on the S. Yorkshire/Lincolnshire border.The Operations Manager will have full site responsibility, leading a small team of experienced, multi-skilled signage professionals and will spearhead continuous improvement of the business.Other day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the production plan and its implementation
  • Development of a system-based production schedule
  • Delivering stringent on time and in full targets
  • Adhering to budget requirements
  • Promoting a culture focussed on continuous improvement
  • Developing high performing teams
  • Achieving agreed KPIs
  • Implementing standard operating procedures based on best practice
  • Acting as an agent for change
  • Promoting best practice with regards to health and safety

The Successful Applicant

Successful candidates will have a strong production background and a proven ability to lead high performing teams. You will provide inspirational management and possess:

  • A demonstrable background in production and leadership
  • Hands on experience of fast paced manufacturing
  • A background in signage or print industries would be advantageous
  • Ability to analyse data to drive performance
  • A successful track record in training and developing talented employees
  • Experience of leading and managing motivated teams
  • A proven continuous improvement skill set
