The Part Time Accounts Administrator will provide essential financial support within the Accounting & Finance department of a business services company. This role requires strong organisational skills and a detail-oriented approach to ensure efficient management of financial tasks in Glasgow.

Job Description

Accounts Receivable

· Generate and issue customer invoices in line with contract terms.

· Monitor aged debt and undertake proactive credit control activities.

· Record and allocate incoming payments accurately.

· Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.

· Maintain accurate debtor records and support month-end reconciliations.

Accounts Payable

· Process supplier invoices, validate coding, and obtain required approvals.

· Prepare supplier payment runs according to agreed schedules.

· Reconcile supplier statements and investigate variances.

· Maintain organised AP documentation in line with audit requirements.

· Support the processing of staff expenses.Financial Administration

· Complete bank reconciliations and financial transaction checks.

· Maintain financial filing systems and ensure records meet audit and compliance standards.

· Support the Finance Manager or Operations Director with ad-hoc financial tasks and data entry.

· Contribute to the preparation of month-end schedules and reporting as required.Compliance & Controls

· Ensure adherence to internal financial processes, policies, and approval workflows.

· Maintain confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Part Time Accounts Administrator should have:

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance-related role.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Xero would be advantageous.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a fast-paced or growing SME environment would be advantageous.
