With an ambitious vision the Finance department is keen for the management accountant to be part of the team who are passionate, innovative and driven to deliver the best to support the University's strategic aims, sustainability and continued growth.Job DescriptionAs a Management Accountant you will be responsible for the following:Working with, and supporting, the Finance Business Partners on the delivery and development of an effective and flexible business support service.Developing processes, procedures and policies that support strategic business needs and deliver on the commitment to continuous improvement.Researching, interpreting and analysing complex data using a variety of systems, reporting on key findings and advising on appropriate actions in support of sustainable decision making.Effective management and analysis of financial processes, systems and data to drive forward value for money initiative.Influencing and facilitating cross-functional decisions, guidance and training on financial management and planning activities, associated policies and procedures, to enable the successful delivery and development of the service.The Successful ApplicantProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by suitable experience.Proven experience in management accounting.Exposure to dealing with budgeting and forecasting.Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What's on Offer£38,205 - £44, 263This role can be appointed on a four day or five day basis.Excellent pension (11% fixed employer contribution)35 days annual leaveHybrid working and flexible working hours.
